Project

Overview

The 3-year research project (2006-2009) ADVANCED-EVAL, financed by the EU under the 6th framework program, aims at the development and application of advanced quantitative and qualitative methods to ex-ante and ex-post evaluations of rural development programmes in the EU. The quantitative methods should allow to quantity the contribution of Rural Development policy measures to different Rural Development indicators. From the single indicators, an aggregated indicator for Rural Development will be derived. Read more on the project's web page ..

The consortium of nine European partners is co-ordinated by the University Kiel.

The main contributions of ILR to the project are:

Development of a village CGE (Computable Equilibrium Model) to analyse impacts of Rural Development policies

Exploration of interfaces between the village CGE and an Agent Based Model (ABM) developed by the team in Kiel
