Applications for the MSc Planetary Health (starts in October - winter semester) are open and running until July 15th. Early applications are recommended for international students requiring a visa to enter Germany. Please always apply via our online application platform, where you will be guided to complete the application forms and to submit the necessary documents.
Postponing your start in Planetary Health
Students who are not physically in Bonn and attending classes by October 31st LATEST will not be allowed to start the program in that year. They are advised to postpone their start in the programme to the following year. To that effect, they must "re-apply" (see below). International students facing this situation are advised to make sure that they are not enrolled with the University of Bonn if they are not able to start the program in time - enrollment is linked with financial obligations (semester fees, health insurance) and only makes sense for students who can actually start the programme by the october 31st deadline. For visa apllications, the admission letter from the study programme is required, but not a proof of enrollment.
Re-applying
Applicants who received an admission letter for the previous year, but could not start the programme in time, and who wish to re-apply can do so via a simplified procedure. They need their previous admission letter and zupload it as sole documentation in the application portal. It is advisable to re-apply as soon as the new application period opens (in order to maximize the chances of a successfull visa application, if applicable), which is December of the year preceing the programme start.
