This year's AFEPA Summer School will take place from 21 to 28 August 2026 at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala. The Summer School brings together our students for an intensive and inspiring week of academic exchange, hands‑on learning, and community building.
The programme will feature an Agent‑Based Modelling course, taught by Franziska Appel, offering participants a practical introduction to modelling complex systems and decision‑making processes. In addition, students will take part in excursions to regional institutions and research sites, providing insights into Swedish agricultural and environmental policy contexts.
To round off the week, there will be several get‑togethers and informal networking opportunities, giving participants the chance to connect, share experiences, and enjoy Uppsala’s vibrant summer atmosphere.
