Andrea is a Honduran interdisciplinary scientist working on the project "Creating Leverage to Enhance Biodiversity Outcomes of Global Biomass Trade" (CLEVER). She is interested in land-system science (e.g. land governance, land-tenure, environmental policies), nature and biodiversity conservation in the tropics, and doing impact evaluation of development and environmental conservation interventions across spatial and temporal scales. She is also a fellow of the Nexus Assessment on the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food, and health from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)
